Moja Adventures and Safaris

Travel Tips 2014

On our trip to Tanzania / Zanziba we had the opportunity to take a day trip with Moses to Arusha National Park. From Moshi we went directly in the home of wild animals in about 1.5 hours. Here you meet not necessarily the Big Five, but it is a great trip and the absolute Safari taste for everyone with little time and money.
We had so much fun! With the small Daniel, at this time, five years old, we designed songs for 'SAFARI MOSES' on the ride. It took less than a minute without a good mood. Moses has great access to children and is really enthusiastic.
About our tour:
Punctually we were picked up at our hotel. On the way Moses took pre-ordered, freshly made sandwiches and lunch boxes from a bar in Moshi. Car and driver were well prepared and so the journey began on the Tamac Road towards Arusha and from there we went over the hill into the Arusha National Park.
In the park we first arrived at the 'little Serengeti' with zebras and antelopes all over. Then we went through densely wooded streets where you can see many monkeys herds. We could watch them wonderfully while they ate. Then we went on to the Momella lakes with beautiful views and a picnic area with views over the lakes. After lunch we suddenly discovered a first giraffe and a short time later many giraffes necks stuck out like statues in the sky. We saw elephants legacies, but unfortunately no elephants. It probably seems to be more of a rarity when you see elephants in Arusha NP.
By the way, if you fancy a night and Teatime and want to watch giraffes in the garden or at a waterhole, you can stay in the Hatari Lodge. We had previously tried this spot!
Moses was a very good guide. He knows ,very well informed, where the animals are to be seen. He is always interested in making the guest feel comfortable. Communication is easily in English. Also he is interested to learn a bit of German, wich is a lot of fun. He already knows some sentences and gets away with it very well.
