Prof. Dr. Peter Schwarz, Dresden, Germany 2.255 volunteers from 138 countries are registered by the Global Diabetes Survey. | Dear stakeholder in diabetes care, Thank you for visiting our website. The quality of diabetes care today is assessed very differently throughout the world. Despite the growing need for effective diabetes care, few studies have sought to compare the quality of care between countries or between regions within a country. With your help, we would like to perform a global study about diabetes care. Each year in the Global Diabetes Survey, patients, primary care physicians, specialists, politicians, economists, representatives from insurance companies, in short, all diabetes-related stakeholder groups, will be invited to take the survey and submit a standardized questionnaire. Our goal is to describe the quality of diabetes care in a transparent and unbiased way. The results of the survey could be used to motivate stakeholders to fix weaknesses and improve diabetes care. This is where we need your help. The annual report on the quality of diabetes care should be based on the responses from as many survey participants as possible. It is also important that each of the survey’s focus groups is represented so that survey gives a comprehensive picture of diabetes care. Please register at www.globaldiabetessurvey.com and answer the questionnaire about diabetes care once a year. We thank you in advance for your participation. |
